Dopo molti mesi e' stato aggiornato il portale della sezione italiana
dell'I.N.D.U.C.K.S., il principale punto di partenza per le vostre
esplorazioni dell'universo dei fumetti Disney pubblicati in Italia (ma
non solo).
Terminato il sondaggio precedente, di cui ci ripromettiamo di postare
un commento nel prossimo numero della newsletter, se ne e' aperto uno
nuovo di zecca, che vede competere tra di loro i supereroi Disney: da
Super Pippo a Paper Bat, da Paperinik al tecnologico PK: dite anche
voi la vostra, e documentatevi con i numerosi link di introduzione dei
personaggi (per i personaggi ancora senza introduzione, sarete i
benvenuti se vorrete scrivere qualcosa voi!!!).

= 2. Storie d'America =
=======================
Una delle cose piu' interessanti attualmente presente nelle nostre
edicole e' sicuramente il numero 22 della collana Super Disney: Storie
d'America, un bellissimo volume che raccoglie quasi tutte le storie
del duo Pezzin-De Vita (che vengono tra l'altro citati in prima
pagina, fatto quasi epocale non tanto per un disegnatore quanto per un
autore!) realizzate per la serie "C'era una volta in America...".
Sicuramente ve ne consigliamo l'acquisto, e ci impossessiamo di quanto
dichiarato a proposito del volume dallo stesso Pezzin (sul suo sito
http://www.fumettiestorie.it ):
"E' una grande soddisfazione per me perchč finalmente si realizza
l'obiettivo che avevo prospettato fin dall'inizio quando avevo ideato
la serie: creare una raccolta di episodi autoconclusivi, ma tutti
legati da un filo cronologico, che potessero diventare insieme un
qualcosa di pił della somma delle singole storie. Quella che si dice
una "saga", insomma."

= 3. I fumetti Disney in Italia prima della guerra =

Grazie al possente sforzo di Armando Botto, ora nell'I.N.D.U.C.K.S.
sono ben catalogate moltissime serie di fumetti Disney pubblicate in
Italia prima della seconda guerra mondiale, e dai contenuti finora
noti solamente agli addetti (o ai super-collezionisti). Tra l'altro,
in quel periodo, la produzione di storie Disney era limitata
all'attivita' di pochi grandissimi autori (Gotfredson su tutti), cosi'
la produzione di quel periodo e' certamente degna di nota, anche se
spesso maltrattata da traduzioni approssimative e impaginazioni poco
rispettose delle versioni originali.

Il piu' amato degli autori Disney francesi, Claude Marin, creatore dei
Disney Babies, ed uno dei piu' prolifici autori d'oltralpe, con oltre
800 storie realizzate, e' morto il 31 agosto scorso. Qui un'intervista

= 1. Updated the Italian I.N.D.U.C.K.S. portal =

After some months the I.N.D.U.C.K.S. portal from the Italian section
was updated. It is supposed to be the starting point for your
explorations toward the universe of Italian Disney comics (and not
only Italian).
The previous pool is now over, and a note about its result will be
contained in this newsletter next issue. Now there is a completely new
one, where you are asked to vote for your preferred Disney super hero:
Super Goof, Morcego Vermelho up to the futuristic PK. All the heroes
are supported by a page where are reported the links to their own
introduction, and for some of them there is also a "fan page" written
by their fans (and you are welcome to write a page for those who still
don't have one).

= 2. Storie d'America =
=======================
One of the most interesting things for sale in Italian newstands in
these days is surely the issue # 22 of Super Disney: Storie d'America,
a very nice volume where are collected almost all the stories by
Pezzin and De Vita made for the serial "C'era una volta in America"
(that can be translated as "Once upon a time in America"). An
interesting thing related to this book is that both the writer and the
artist are credited on the first page!
We surely suggest you to buy it, and what follows is our translation
of Pezzin article about this issue, that can be found on his website

"[This book] is a great pleasure for me, since it realizes the goal I
was having in mind since I started thinking about this serial:
creating a set of self-conclusive episodes, all linked together by a
chronological path, creating something more relevant than the simple
sum of all the stories. That's what you can call a saga."

Thanks to the relevant effort produced by Armando Botto, now the
I.N.D.U.C.K.S. contains also a lot of pre-war serials of pre-war
issues, whose contents are known only by the experts (or by the super
collectors). Moreover in those years the only Disney stories produced
were made by very great creators (Gottfredson above them all), so the
production reprinting these stories surely deserves to be known, also
if sometimes (always?) it is ruined by "weird" translations not
respecting the original versions.

= 4. Claude Marin passed away =
===============================
The most beloved French Disney creator, Claude Marin, died on 31st
August. He will be remembered as the creator of the Disney Babies, and
also one of the most active French creators: more than 800 stories.
