= 1. Romics ed Expocartoon: ne valeva la pena? =
================================================

Nel week end tra il 22 ed il 25 novembre scorso si sono tenute a Roma 
due mostre-mercato del fumetto in contemporanea, sulle quali gia'
sono 
state spese moltissime parole, anche su internet. Non vogliamo di 
certo immischiarci anche noi nella diatriba, mi limitero' a dire, a 
titolo personale, che e' stata grande la delusione per la dimensione 
delle mostre mercato dedicate al fumetto: insieme le due mostre non 
arrivavano alla dimensione della precedente Expocartoon, e non 
venitemi a parlare di numero di espositori: a me di trovare 
giocattoli, tiro al bersaglio, dischi, caramelle e pupazzetti in una 
mostra che si suppone dedicata al fumetto non interessa affatto,
anzi! 
Di livello decisamente piu' alto, invece, gli incontri dibattito 
tenutisi nelle diverse occasioni. Qui ci interessa, ovviamente, 
sottolineare quella tenutasi domenica mattina a Romics dal titolo 
"Fumetti e web - dalla fanzine alla webzine" alla quale ho avuto il 
piacere di partecipare come rappresentante dell'Inducks, e grazie
alla 
quale si sono aperti nuovi orizzonti per le nostre attivita'!

= 2. 100 anni di Walt Disney =
==============================

"Tutto comincio' con un topo..." E' la frase tipica, attribuita allo 
stesso Walt, con la quale si vuole sottolineare come quello che oggi 
e' l'impero Disney inizio' grazie all'intuizione di un uomo che dal 
nulla riusci' a creare la piu' grande multinazionale del divertimento 
mai esistita.
A dir la verita' lo spunto iniziale non fu proprio un topo, ma un 
coniglio, Oswald, ma questa e' un'altra storia....
Quello che importa sottolineare e' che proprio oggi, 5 dicembre 2001 
in quasi tutto il mondo si celebrano i cento anni dalla nascita di 
Walter Elias Disney. Molteplici sono le iniziative editoriali legate
a 
quest'evento, ci limitiamo a segnalare qui quella italiana e quella
di 
produzione Egmont per il nord Europa: "Fantastico Walt" e il 
"Centennial Book" sono due interessantissimi libri a fumetti che 
ristampano alcune tra le piu' significative storie Disney, e dei
quali 
certamente vi consigliamo la lettura per celebrare degnamente 
l'evento!

= 3. Don Rosa in Finlandia =
============================

Nuova visita di Don Rosa in Scandinavia, e nuovo grande successo per 
l'autore Disney piu' amato del momento. In occasione della 
presentazione del suo nuovo libro "Crusader King" ci sono state 
conferenze stampa, incontri con i fans e lunghe file da parte dei 
cacciatori di autografi... che dire, speriamo di averlo presto di 
nuovo in Italia per imitare i nostri amici finlandesi!

= 5. PK spopola in rete =
=========================

Grazie alla fervente attivita' dei partecipanti alla mailing list 
dedicata a PK, ed in particolare del suo moderatore Silverware, e'
ora 
possibile leggere sul web ben due storie di PK non pubblicate 
all'estero completamente scannerizzate, tradotte in inglese con un 
nuovo lettering. L'iniziativa, venuta a conoscenza degli appassionati 
Disney sul web, ha subito riscosso un grande successo, anche per la 
professionalita' con la quale, ci piace sottolinearlo, e' stato 
organizzata la lettura delle pagine sul sito che le ospita:

= 6. 70 anni di Topolino in Italia =
====================================

Riceviamo dalla sempre precisa agenzia dell'Anonima Fumetti (a 
proposito, Gianfranco Goria, il webmaster, e' diventato papa' da 
pochissimi giorni di Alice, augurissimi!!!!!), e rigiriamo qui:
Giovedì 6 dicembre, presso la Libreria Antiquaria e Casa Editrice 
Little Nemo (Via Montebello, 2/0-Torino) si inaugurera' la mostra "70 
ANNI DI TOPOLINO IN ITALIA - Il Magico Mondo di Walt Disney". 
Il programma del primo giorno prevede alle ore 11.30 la presentazione 
della mostra alla stampa da parte di Sergio Pignatone, mentre 
l'inaugurazione al pubblico avverra' alle ore 17.00. 
In mostra sarà possibile trovare centinaia di pubblicazioni e 
"memorabilia" che ricostruiscono la storia di Topolino. Una sezione 
della mostra è dedicata ai manifesti dei lungometraggi Disney,
come la 
celeberrima Biancaneve e i sette nani oppure Pinocchio e Fantasia. 
La mostra resterà aperta fino al 22 dicembre, con il seguente
orario: 
dal lunedì al venerdì 9.30-13.00, 15.30-19.30.

= 7. Presente e futuro di questa newsletter =
=============================================

Quando, circa un anno fa, decisi di iniziare questa newsletter, 
pensavo di riuscire a raggiungere, si e no, venti - trenta persone.
Le 
cose sono, invece, andate diversamente: piu' di cento iscritti, 
moltissimi corrispondenti abituali conosciuti tramite questa lista, 
parecchie decine di notize inviate. Il bilancio e' assolutamente 
eccellente, oltre che sorprendente!
L'impegno necessario a gestire un "periodico" del genere e' molto 
duro, e, anche per motivi di lavoro, spesso mi trovo a ritardare 
significativamente la pubblicazione e a trascurare alcune notizie.
Dato che al momento (e soprattutto in prospettiva) i miei impegni 
lavorativi sono sempre piu' assillanti, chiedo aiuto a voi: se 
qualcuno volesse collaborare a questa newsletter puo' inviare al mio

= 1. Romics and Expocartoon: was it worth? =
============================================

During the week end between 22nd and 25th of last November in Rome 
took place two exhibitions about comics at the same time: Romics and 
Expocartoon. 
There were a lot of talks about it, also on the Internet, we don't 
want to join all the ones who talked about this, but I'm going to
tell 
my impressions just like my own personal impressions: both the 
exhibitions were a great delusion: the two markets togheter weren't 
big enough to reach the spece used in the previous edition of 
Expocartoon. Maybe there were more exhibitors, but less (much less) 
comics than usual: I saw games, records, hi-fi, candies, and other 
things totally unrelated to comics!
Surely the meetings were much more interesting then the market areas, 
what we like to remember is the meeting that was arranged on the 
Sunday morning that was about comics and web, where I had the chance 
to talk about the I.N.D.U.C.K.S. with some other webmaster from 
comics-devoted websites!

= 2. Walt Disney 100 years =
============================

"It all started with a mouse..." This is the usual phrase used to 
underline the beginning of what was going to be the greatest 
multinational in entertaining people.
To be more precise it wasn't a mouse, but a rabbit, Oswald, but
that's 
another story...
What we care to say is that today, 5th Decembre 2001, is that almost 
all the world is celebrating the centennial from the birth of Walter 
Elias Disney.
There are many editorial initiatives related to this event, we just 
want to mention the ones from Italy and from Egmont: "Fantastico
Walt" 
and the "Centennial Book" are two very interesting books reprinting 
vintage comics from Disney, and that we suggest you to read in order 
to celebrate this event.

A new travel by Don Rosa to Finland, and yet another great success
for 
the most beloved Disney creator of the moment.
During the presentation of his new Disney book "Crusader King" took 
place some meeting with the press, the fans and autograph hunters...
Well, let's hope to see him in our country so to imitate our Finnish 
friends!

Thanks to some of the subscribers to the main PK fan mailing list, an 
in particular to its moderator Silverware, it is now possible to read 
on the internet two PK stories unpublished outside Italy, completely 
scanned and translated in English with a new lettering.

= 7. This newsgroup =
=====================

When, about one year ago, I decided to start this newsletter, I was 
thinking about reaching more or less twenty/thirty readers. Well, 
things took a different way: more than one hunderd subscribers, many 
correspondants known by this newsletter, many news sent out. The 
global balance is absolutely excellent, and I'm really surprised of 
it!
The work needed to manage such an important job is very hard, and, 
also because of troubles with my work, sometimes I find myself being 
very late with writing it or in omitting some news.
Since in this period (and with more certainy in the near future) my 
working duties are constantly growing, I have to ask for your help:
if someone of you wants to help me in writing this newsletter he can
