Don Rosa a Torino = ======================== Leggiamo con grande entusiasmo uno dei piu' recenti "lanci" dell'Anonima Fumetti (http://www.fumetti.org/afnews), dove viene annunciata la venuta di Don Rosa, in occasione della prossima edizione di Torino Comics (http://www.torinocomics.com). L'occasione e' ghiotta per incontrare di persona l'autore che piu' di ogni altro negli ultimissimi anni ha rivitalizzato la figura di Zio Paperone, rinnovando l'interesse verso i fumetti Disney presso moltissimi appassionati. A fronte di questo evento probabilmente ce ne saranno molti altri collatarali, tra i quali probabilmente un incontro tra i componenti dell'Inducks Italia. Quest'edizione di Torino Comics partira' il 25 aprile per concludersi il 28 dello stesso mese, una buona occasione per organizzare un ponte festivo (considerando che il 25 e' festa). =========================== = 2. Scarpa sulla spiaggia = ============================ In attesa di veder pubblicati in Italia i nuovi lavori di Romano Scarpa (per il mese prossimo e' prevista la prima pubblicazione italiana di Funny Carrots su Zio Paperone), una gustosa anteprima e' visibile sul sito di Francesco Spreafico "Un artista inusitato": la nuova storia con Topolino "A Quiet Day at the Beach", una storia pressoche' "muta", gia' presentata in forma di preview sul libro "Sognando la Calidornia". La via dell'Oregon = ========================= Ricordate "Storie d'America", lo speciale Disney di qualche mese fa che ripresentava tutte le storie del ciclo "C'era una volta in America..." prodotte dal duo Pezzin-de Vita? Bene, in quell'antologia, forse per motivi di spazio, non era ristampata una delle storie del ciclo: "Topolino e la Via dell'Oregon". Consigli per gli acquisti = ================================ Cosa c'e' di buono in edicola? Di certo e' consigliato l'acquisto dell'ultimo numero de "I Maestri Disney" dedicato al grande G. B. Carpi: contiene, oltre ai sempre encomiabili articoli di Luca Boschi e Alberto Becattini, ristampe di storie da considerarsi, per un aspetto o per un altro, delle vere "chicche" per collezionisti. Inoltre l'attuale numero de "I Grandi Classici Disney" (il 184) presenta un'OTTIMA selezione di storie dagli anni 70, tra le quali una delle mie preferite in assoluto: "Paperino e il casco respingente" (dettagli su http://www2.ec- lille.fr/willot/coa/c1/story.php/5/I+TL+1025-A), un capolavoro di umorismo del duo Cimino-Cavazzano... se non l'avete mai letta vi siete persi qualcosa! ==================================================================== Hello, After yet another long pause, let's start again with this issue, where you'll find: 1. Don Rosa in Turin = ======================== One of the most recent news issued by Anonima Fumetti (http://www.fumetti.org/afnews) is a great one: Don Rosa will be in Turin during the annual comic meeting Torino Comics (http://www.torinocomics.com) as a special guest. This is a great chance to meet personally the creator who, in the last years, was able to bring Scrooge to a new life, and to renew the interest in Disney comics in many readers. Due to his presence, there are great expectations for the other meetings that could take place in Turin, maybe also a meeting of the Italian Inducks team. This edition of Torino Comics will start on 25th of april and will terminate on 28th, it seems to be a good moment to arrangean holyday (also because in Italy the 25th of April is a national holiday). ================================= = 2. Scarpa on the beach = ========================== In Italy we're still waiting for the latests Romano Scarpa's works to be published (on the next Zio Paperone issue will be printed Funny Carrots), but a nice preview can be seen on Francesco Spreafico's web site "Un artista inusitato" (only in Italian, BTW) where Mickey's new story "A Quiet Day at the Beach" is introduced to the Italian readers. This is a new, experimental, story, without dialogues (except the last page) only seen in its "preview" layout on the Boschi-Becattini-Gori-Sani book "Sognando la Calidornia". La via dell'Oregon = ========================= Do you remember "Storie d'America", the Disney special issue published few months ago where were reprinted all the stories from the saga "C'era una volta in America..." (Once upon a time in America) made by the duo Pezzin-de Vita? Well, in that book, maybe because of lack of pages, a story was missing: "Topolino e la Via dell'Oregon", one of the most important in the global plot of the saga. Good suggestions = ======================= Is there something good to buy in the Italian kiosks? Surely yes, starting with the latest issue of "I Maestri Disney" devoted to the great G. B. Carpi: it contains, besides the interesting – as usual – articles from Luca Boschi and Alberto Becattini, reprints of stories intended to be real "pearls" for collectors. Moreover the current issue of "I Grandi Classici Disney" (#184) reprints an EXCELLENT selection of stories from the early `70ties, including one of the my all-times preferred: "Paperino e il casco respingente" (see also http://www2.ec- lille.fr/willot/coa/c1/story.php/0/I+TL+1025-A), a masterpiece because of its humoristic plot and its art, if you never read it you are really missing something!
